About Us
Our Mission To develop in people a greater sense of God’s unconditional love that they may be inspired, encouraged, and changed. What We Do CHC Group was organized in January of 2007. We hope to minister, to people of all faiths, denominations, and beliefs, through one day events/seminars as well as weekend getaways. Although our main focus of ministry is on women, we plan to be involved in marriage seminars and other areas of outreach. CHC Group is also available to plan events for churches and other organizations. We will host numerous events in the North Georgia area each year. Who We Are Carla Cantrell Hi! My name is Carla Cantrell and I live in the beautiful area of Cleveland, Georgia which is located in the Northeast Georgia Mountains. I married my high school sweetheart, Billy, and we have 2 great kids. Well most of the time they are good kids, but they have their moments. Our son, Colby is in high school and is learning to drive. (Pray for us, PLEASE!) I can't stress the word learning enough. He is tall and handsome (a mother has to brag) and is very musically talented. He plays piano and alto sax. Our daughter, Kaylee is in the 5th grade and also plays piano. (By the way, she is really cute and petite.) She is involved in gymnastics and loves to run. Her favorite words are: Can I have that? And, I'll race you to the car. Her favorite time to ask this question is as we are walking across the church parking lot and I'm in my heels and wearing a dress. Basically, my hobbies are being a chauffer for my kids. I think we travel around the world at least twice a week. Oh, I love to laugh. I love to hear people laugh. I just like for people to be happy. Then again, don't we all? I love to play practical jokes on people and then they get me back. That last part I could do without. And, I love to sing. I sang with a group for about 10 years and we traveled locally. I just LOVE music. I grew up in a musical family and it is a part of who I am. I never get tired of singing or listening to it. I like different kinds of music but my favorite is Southern Gospel. You should hear the children's choir at church. They are great. I feel very blessed in my life. I grew up in a loving and caring Christian home. I lived in a community surrounded by friends and family. I grew up in a spiritual church with people that care about one another. Billy and I live in a great community with good friends and our family doesn't live far away. We are members of the same church that I grew up in, Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Without a doubt I can tell you the best decision I made in my life was the day that I asked Jesus Christ into my heart. I have had many failures and I know God has to be disappointed with my life at times but I can honestly say that God has never let me down. He loves me and cares for me with his unconditional love and grace. I am really excited about being a part of CHC Group! To be able to make a positive difference in someone's life is such a great feeling. Lorie Crumley I love family! If you were to ask me what some of my favorite things are, that is what you would hear me say. My family gives me a sense of security in an insecure world. I believe God has richly blessed me with strong family roots because He knows that I need them in my life. The short story of my life is this: I AM BLESSED. Here's the long version. I was raised in a loving, nurturing Christian home where my brother and I went to church unless we were dead. I grew up in a town where everyone knew me because of my last name and when my Mom got pulled over for speeding she gave the officer a ticket for pulling her over. I grew up with grandparents who prayed before every meal and taught me more about life than they will ever know. I grew up in a wonderful place surrounded by a wonderful family. At the ripe old age of 23, I married my husband Trey. We now have a beautiful 3 year old daughter named Tillie. We are members of Bethel Baptist Church where we have worked with the youth for several years. I certainly have had my share of disappointment…I have made my share of mistakes…but what seems to have been a perfect life, has simply been that God has given me sufficient grace to handle the tough times. Without Him in my life I would be a mess. (AKA utter disaster! Not “mess” like the time my car wouldn't start and I had it towed to the auto repair place only to find out that it was out of gas…or the time I rolled my own hand up in the window of my car and yelled at my husband in anger only to look down at my finger pressing the window button…or the time I called Carla at her house and said, “where are you?”) I've heard it said that God takes extra special care of babies and dummies. If that's the case, I'll be O.K.!
